Advanced Propulsion Test Facility APTF Injector Test
APTF
The Advanced Propulsion Test Facility, referred to in the early days as the “Research Facility”, has been involved in a variety of research programs and investigations of the performance of a broad spectrum of small high-pressure components requiring both storable and cryogenic propellants. The types of hardware tested at this facility include injectors, combustors to 54,000 pounds of thrust, small turbopumps, bearings, and seals. The facility was activated in 1950.
